OUR STORY
CanadaGamerHub began in 2017 when three passionate RPG enthusiasts from Vancouver met during a local gaming tournament. Michael Thompson, Sarah Chen, and David Okafor found themselves discussing the lack of dedicated resources for Canadian adventure and role-playing game fans that focused on in-depth analysis rather than surface-level reviews.
What started as weekend meetups in Michael's basement quickly evolved into organized community events at local game shops. By early 2018, our Discord server had grown to over 500 members, and we began producing our first written guides for popular RPG titles. The overwhelmingly positive response from the Canadian gaming community convinced us to establish CanadaGamerHub as a formal organization.
In 2019, we secured our first office space in Vancouver and launched our website to reach gamers across Canada. Our team expanded to include content creators, event coordinators, and technical analysts specializing in different aspects of RPG gaming. By 2020, despite the challenges of the pandemic, we pivoted to virtual events and saw our online community grow exponentially as more Canadians turned to gaming during lockdowns.
Today, CanadaGamerHub stands as Canada's premier resource for adventure and RPG gaming, with community members across all provinces and territories. We organize over 25 annual events, maintain partnerships with major game developers, and provide some of the most comprehensive guides in the gaming industry. What sets us apart is our uniquely Canadian perspective and our commitment to building a welcoming, inclusive gaming community that celebrates the depth and richness of adventure gaming.
